Dear Editor,
While I support the idea of engaging locals to teach tourism courses at SICHE, what is important here is the standard and quality of training students have accessed to. Not only that, raising the standard of the school to attain international recognition should be our priority.
I am not implying here that our locals lack experience and required qualifications. If they do, good and well. But if they only have certificates, diplomas and so on and so forth, then I don't think it's a good idea to get them to teach our students.
After all they spend some considerable amount of money for their fees so whoever is teaching must have years of experience and relevant qualifications.
Enough nao fo deprivem ordinary pipol blo iumi from quality education.
