Dear Editor,
Re: Self serving
Some people who are working within the ministry of education have been very fortunate to serve themselves with scholarships under either NZAID or AUSAID sponsorships. They chose to be granted funding from these donors because they know too well that if they are sponsored by SIG, then, they will just meet the consequences of getting fewer incentives from the SIG sponsored students' allowances compared to that of the above two (2) mentioned donor partners. The persons (officers) whom I referred to in this article should know who they are.
In my humble view, education officers who are going overseas on scholarships should be sent on SIG sponsorship so that they feel the same consequences as the SIG sponsored students attending USP yearly who are crying for their allowances paid to them on time almost every semester.
