Solomon Times Online.
I thought that it was a fitting tribute that the Solomon Islands Government honoured the late Panapasa Balekana with a State Funeral following his recent death in Honiara.
Let his words "That men should brothers be, make nations see." become a lasting and true epitaph of this christian, peace loving gentleman in the Solomon Islands.
The late Mr Balakana invited me to speak to his congregation at the Wesley United Church on several occasions in past years and I always felt priviliged to do so.
I extend my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
