May I take this opportunity to convey a congratulatory message to my wantok, Gordon Nanau, who has just been awarded a doctorate in International Development.
Congratulations Gordon! You certainly deserve this award, given those years of hard work.
You have, not only, done yourself proud, but also your Province (Guadalcanal), and Solomon Islands as a whole.
It is heartening to note that you still have a heart for SICHE and will be returning to help our one and only tertiary institution.
Your country certainly needs your expertise more than any other place in this globe.
I wish you and your family a safe journey back to the Solomons.
