The Maasina forum represents few individuals with unrealistic ideas like independence for Malaita. Whilst the majority of our population as a country is trying to make ends meet amidst the economic hardship and poverty, few people are blowing their trumpets and jumping ahead overlooking important hurdles one must first tackle and trying to take a short cut.
If our country after 30 years of independance is still struggling to survive, than I don't think it is the right time to call for such issue. There are more important issues that needs to be address in Malaita to make way for development that can make life easier for the people than calling for independence.
Dreams that are too high cannot be achieve because it is beyond our reach. Lets start small and work upwards rather than trying to reach the sky from nowhere.
Have a nice day!
