Dear Editor,
Its very disappointing to see public facilities being vandalised by few selfish and and uncivilised individuals. The recent vandalising of the public telephone at Rove is just another example of the many incidences of vandalising public facilities in Honiara.
I think its high time for relevant authorities to tackle this problem before all our public facilities gone to ruins. Those who are caught committing such an act should be dealt with severly which mean putting them behind bars or imposed a heavy fine. Police should put more effort to monitor and protect public facilities through regular patrols especially during the weekends when there are many drunken people out there in the streets.
