Women's Basketball Program in Honiara

The Solomon Islands Basketball Federation (SIBF) will be running a Women's Basketball Program.

The program calls for the participation of all interested women in Solomon Islands to be part of a free program that encourages social participation of any women of any age.

Program organizer, Eva Pongi, said the 5 days program will offer each day with something different, "whether you would like to play or would like to help with refereeing or coaching."

"This is a great program for all women of all ages and abilities to come and enjoy themselves in a friendly environment. Basketball is about fun, so that is what we are going to have throughout the week," Mrs. Pongi said.

On the closing day, the SIBF will also be holding the presentation for the Honiara Basketball League (HBL) and the closing for the National Basketball Teams that represented Solomon Islands in Samoa at the South Pacific Games.
