In celebration of International Women's Day's 100th anniversary, Westpac Solomon Islands announced the Westpac Women's Education Grants, offering financial assistance to girls and women of Solomon Islands to help them with the cost of their education.

"The Westpac Women's Education Grants are just one way we're inspiring future generations of women to achieve their ambitions both personal and professional," Craig Lonergan, General Manager, Westpac Solomon Islands added.

"It's easy - simply tell us how a Westpac Women's Education Grant will help you to achieve your goals for the future and you could be the lucky recipient of a Grant!"

Application forms and criteria information are available from Westpac's website www.westpac.com.au/pacific and from all Westpac branches.

Applications close 29 April 2011 and winners will be announced in the week beginning 16 May 2011. "If you don't have a fax or email to send in your application, visit your local Westpac branch and they will assist you in sending in your application," said Mr Lonergan.

Westpac's Pacific operations cover the Cook Islands, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu. There are more than 50 Westpac branches and agencies and 82 ATMs throughout the Pacific.
