With the first month of the New Year rounding up, churches are gearing into 2008 with various activities and important occasions earmarked.

Visiting the Wesley United Church compound, the Solomon Times was informed that the Church Bishop, Rev. Bishop Kurepitu, is currently touring various circuits in Honiara.

A church insider said the visit is purposely to see to improvements needed to be done in the circuits.

The insider said the Reverend will also visit the provinces and, at the same time, ordinate some ministers in the villages.

She said that two ordinations have so far taken place for ministers in Malaita and Guadalcanal provinces.
