Last week the EU Micro Project together with World Vision handed over a Water Supply and Sanitation Project to four villages in West Guadalcanal.

Speaking during the handover ceremony was the community representative from Tamami village who stated that the water supply and sanitation project would be a great benefit for their community.

Tamami village is one of the villages that received water supply from the project.

Mr. Ronald Ivupitu, Project Coordinator for the EU Micro Project in reply mentioned that the project was possible through the funds provided by the EU micro project however; the success of the project was because of the communities.

"Working in partnership with the community made the projects quite successful and working together with World Vision ensures that the projects are sustainable," said Mr. Ivupitu.

Not only are EU and the World Vision happy about the outcome but so too are the villagers.

The completion of this project means that the villagers can now cook and drink fresh water.
