Another high profile candidate has failed to retain his seat.
The former Member of Parliament for Russells & Savo in the Central Islands Province, Sir Allan Kemakeza, has bowed out after srving five terms in Parliament.He lost to a teacher from Nukufera in the Russell Islands, Dickson Mua Panakitasi.
A veteran politician, Sir Allan brought the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands in 2003.
Meanwhile, the East Kwaio former MP, Stanley Sofu, has retained his seat.
