USP Recognized for Business in Region

The University of the South Pacific (USP) has been recognized as the leading provider of quality business education in the Pacific.

According to Fiji Times Online, USP's Faculty of Business and Economics has been given the recognition at the second Eduniversal World Convention held in Cape Town in October.

The Dean of Faculty of Faculty of Business and Economics, Professor Biman Chand Prasad said the recognition meant a lot to the faculty.

"In fact our ranking is better or equal to many comparable Universities in Australia and New Zealand," he said.

According to the report, Professor Prasad said this was the second year in a row that the Faculty of Business and Economics at USP was being recognised.

"We are very pleased with this recognition and our students would be pleased with this as well," he said.

He said for prospective students this was an important recognition as they begin to choose their places of study.
