The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) has completed its exhumation of four bodies killed during the ethnic tension.

The TRC exhumation program has identified at least two hundred names of victims who were said to have died during the tension.

Speaking in a news conference today TRC's Exhumation Coordinator Francis Kapini says according to the Commissions mandate, those exhumed must be based on requests from families who wanted their loved ones to be returned to them for proper burial.

Mr Kapini says the exhumation team has received more than twenty exhumation requests, but only chose to do four purposely to show the value of the process towards nation building.

The official exhumation work was carried out following an MOU signed by TRC, Argentinean Forensic Division, Royal Solomon Islands Police Forensic Unit and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution DPP on July 17.
