The Solomon Islands Football Federation has called on Provincial club champions to register their teams as preparations are currently underway.
Eddie Ngava stated that the tournament is only three weeks away. "Lauru, Guadalcanal, Malaita and Central have registered a team each" Ngava said. "Western Province is currently finishing of its local league, should have a winner soon"Other provinces have complained that their tournaments are yet to be completed. "We are yet to complete our league so it's difficult to determine who should represent us" A concerned soccer player stated. "We might be forced to send last years champions which will be very unfair for those currently leading the league"
