Taiwanese fishing boat rescued

A Taiwanese fishing vessel, Yuh Fa No. 201 re floated itself this morning after it ran aground for more than 72 hours on a reef outside of Gizo.

The Taiwanese fishing vessel, Yuh Fa No. 201 was finally re floated after it ran aground for more than 72 hours on a reef outside of Gizo.

Attempts were made by the two country's patrol boats to pull the ship off the reefs but failed yesterday when ropes snapped.

Yuh Fa no. 201 left Honiara earlier this week carrying relief assistance and donations from the Solomon Islands Chinese Association and the Taiwan Technical Mission.
