Confirming this was SIBC's Leni Dalavera, who is currently on study leave in Fiji, who said it is relief at last for the students.SIBC News understands the delay of allowances caused students to resort to breadfruits for survival while waiting, news to which the Opposition Leader also issued a call to the government to quickly address.However, Mr. Leni said the real issue is for responsible authorities to ensure students have all they need and ready before the semester starts.He said such delays of allowance payments affects the welfare of student's which could lead to academic failure, adding that it is time the government looks into this seriously.
