Solomon Islands men's beach volleyball team conceded defeat to a much experienced New Caledonian side at the Faleata Beach court late this afternoon in straight sets.

The New Caledonian side defeated Fiji earlier and now has an unbeaten record after beating the Solomon Islands. Solomon Islands are positioned in fourth place in their pool with 1-win and 2-losses registering 4 points. New Caledonia currently holds the top position with 9 points clear ahead of Fiji and Tahiti at 7 points each.

The women's beach volleyball team also lost two of their games in the first and second round of the competition and currently in fourth place. Vanuatu and New Caledonia share a 7 points lead and Fiji trailing behind in third place with 6 points.
