Women's soccer training is progressing well for the upcoming South Pacific Games.

The team is expected to be finalized by the 18th of this month.

"We are slowly improving on our fitness level and we will increase the pace once the team is selected by the 18th of this month" says Team leader Diana Justus. Diana stated that a coach will be joining the squad to help prepare the team to represent Solomon Islands in the SPG in Samoa. Currently the squad is under the supervision of Noel Wagapu.

"This period of intensive training begins on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday whilst Tuesdays and Wednesdays we have our gym session", says Diana Justus.

"We just had our first bib test on Saturday and many more to come. The NOSCI fitness tests will determine also whether a player is capable and fit to be selected. So by the 18th a final team will be selected" says the team leader.
