Solomon Islands' Under-14 National Futsal team won their first match in Australia.

The team left the country Saturday to participate in the National Australian Futsal Championship.

Solomons side won 3 goals to 2 against their rival, the Northern NSW Hornets in their opening match, round one of the championship.

The boys played their second match with the ACT Cobras this morning and they will have a bye tomorrow morning before taking on the Queensland side in the afternoon.

Our boys will have their final match on Friday against their pool leader, NSW Lightning.

Meanwhile, the team is funded and supported by the Dural Baptist Church in Australia.
All their uniforms, food, airfares, accommodation and other necessities are met by the Church.

Ten players and three officials flew out of the country to Canberra where the tournament is held. The officials are Head of Delegation, Pastor Nacaniel Seru, Head Coach, Tony Walesua, and his assistant Jessica Hou.
