Solomon Hosts CEO, Joyce Maetoloa and Hospitality Trainer, Alexandria Hilly are currently facilitating the training.The program will end today and will be attended by the Minister, Permanent Secretary and Director of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.Solomon Host will also be conducting Tourism and Hospitality trainings in the Western Province commencing at the end of August 2008. The main 3 courses of Quality Customer Service, Food and Beverage services and House-Keeping will be conducted in Marovo, Munda and Gizo.Further trainings will also be conducted in other Provincial capitals such as Auki, Tulagi and Buala for the remainder of the year.Speaking with Solomon Times, Tourism Representative from the Ministry of Culture, Mr. Jonathan Taisia stated that with a lot of effort put into training, "we hope that people would be much more involved and have the know how skills in improving the tourism industry in the Solomon islands." Solomon Times understand that the trainings conducted by Solomon Host is part of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism National capacity building program.
