Solomon Airlines has announced its special fares for the New Year period as part of its on-going review of available capacity on its Brisbane flights.

The airline said that the 'Blue Sky fare' will be in the market for sale starting today.

It says the Blue Sky fare is similar to its Crazy Pre-Xmas fare of just under 2-thousand Solomon dollars, return to Brisbane, which includes taxes and surcharges.

It says one of the conditions attached to this 'Blue Sky fare' is that travel must be completed by 31st March, 2009.

The airline said there are conditions applicable to this special fare package such as timelines for payment after reservations and number of seats.

However, it says this is a chance for those who could not travel before or during Christmas and New Year, to now take up this specially low fare that places Solomon Airlines as the cheapest in the market.

The airline says this new Blue Sky Fare initiative will be part of the National Carrier's plans to ensure that when there is capacity in particular months or seasons throughout the year, it will do what it has to do to maintain market share on the Brisbane services.
