The celebrations continue for the national carrier and travellers across the Solomon Islands, with Solomon Airlines announcing heavily discounted fares on flights across the airline’s domestic and international network.

To celebrate the airline’s 60th anniversary, for one week only, from the 1st of November to 7th November, return flights on the flagship of the domestic fleet, the 36-seat Dash-8, can be booked for 60% of the normal prices.

The special 60% return fares apply to Dash 8 flights only operating between Honiara and Munda, Gizo, Kirakira, Auki, and Santa Cruz and also in the reverse direction, and on flights between Munda and Gizo.

While the special fares are only on sale for 7 days, the allowable travel periods are 1 to 30 November 2022, and 31 January to 31 March 2023.

“Solomon Airlines is encouraging everyone who would like to take a journey soon and to experience our recently returned Dash 8 aircraft, to book swiftly, as we expect seats to fill very quickly and availability is limited,” said Gus Kraus, Solomon Airlines’ CEO.

The airline has also announced a 60th Anniversary International Celebration Sale with savings of up to 25% on return flights between Honiara and international destinations including Australia, Vanuatu, and Fiji.

“Those planning international travel can also take advantage of our special 60th-anniversary fares with seats on sale until 30 December 2022, “said Mr. Kraus.

“These fares are available on Solomon Airlines-operated international flights to selected destinations, however they are strictly limited so we will keep taking bookings until the allocated seating is sold out,” he added.

The 60th Anniversary International Celebration Fares include the following:
