Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has announced a reshuffle of two ministers in his Grand Coalition for Change Government.

The Prime Minister in a statement said Finance and Treasury Minister, Gordon Darcy Lilo, have swapped portfolios with Justice and Legal Affairs Minister, Francis Zama.

Mr. Sogavare said the reshuffle of the two Ministers was "a normal government process for improving the performance of ministries".

The High Court had, in September, quashed an official corruption charge against Mr. Zama on appeal after being sentenced in May to 20 months in jail.

Mr. Zama was charged with one count of official corruption for unlawfully obtaining 26,520 Solomon dollars ($A4,070) through a stamp duty exemption when he was finance minister under the previous government of Allan Kemakeza.

The judge ruled that the charge could not be applied to Zama because he was not a public servant and could only be dealt with by the Solomons Leadership Code Commission.
