Today the Solomon Islands Students Association (SISA) in the University of the South Pacific, Laucala Campus, Fiji, will issue their first ever newsletter.

According to sources, this was made possible by the journalism students currently studying in the Laucala Campus and the new executive of SISA.

For the first time, this will allow the executive to work very closely with the journalism students.

According to students through an email, "this is indeed a milestone, under the new leadership of SISA President, Eric Saueha and his Vice, Jimmy Saolakane. The newsletter will definitely help to broaden the minds of the Solomon Islands students and to give the journalism students a real taste of journalism."

The newsletter will contain events celebrated by the Solomon Island students such as the Independence Day celebrations, USP Open Day and the Solomon Islands participation and contributions to the University of the South Pacific Student Association (USPSA).
