The Solomon Islands Football Federation has been given the go ahead for its 'calendar of events'.

"The calendar approved last month covers and outlines SIFF events for all members of the organization," SIFF General Secretary, Eddie Ngava, told Solomon Times.

He said the calendar is not for the public but "for members only to keep them informed of SIFF events to be held in the year 2009".

This includes executive meetings and competitions that will take place this year.

Mr. Ngava revealed that among events to look forward to will be the April SIFF Congress that will take place in Gizo, Western Province.

"A Pre-Congress workshop will take place 21 days to the big one where we will do the final talking."

Among yearly events in the country will be a women's football symposium in June along with other national and regional competitions including OFC U11 championship, Telecom National Clubs Championship, OFC beach soccer, OFC futsal, national high schools competition, national kids' festival and OFC U20 Women's qualifier.
