Former Central Bank Governor Rick Hou has disassociated himself from promises and advice that he is the money man for the Family Charity Fund.

Mr Hou returned to the country from Washington last week after resigning from his job as Senior Advisor to the World Bank.

He returned as an intending candidate for Small Malaita.

Ahead of his return, the Family Charity Fund has been telling its members that Rick Hou has returned to Solomon Islands to release their $2 million dollar funds from the Central Bank.

But the former Central Bank Governor says he will not change from his basic advice that he has "no dealing with the Family Charity Fund and the scheme has no money in any of the financial institutions in the country."

He says members of the Family Charity Fund must understand that money they have lost to the scheme is "lost and will never be returned to them."
