ROC Donates Equipment to Good Samaritan Hospital

Taiwan Ambassador, His Excellency George Chan officially donated a computer and a microscope to the Good Samaritan Hospital in East Guadalcanal this morning.

Speaking during the handover he mentioned the hospital had been running without access to a single computer, which has affected most of the hospital operations.

"This includes diagnostics, training, record keeping. Although the hospital has a microscope, it still doesn't meet the demand, the reason why we donated a microscope. We hope that the operation of the hospital will be enhanced by the donations," continues Ambassador Chan.

In reply to the speech, the Health Minister for Guadalcanal Province Hon. Jude Soni has also expressed his gratitude to the donations.

Ambassador Chan was accompanied by the Taiwan Mobile Medical Mission, who provided free medical services to the people of East Guadalcanal.

Solomon Times understands that the handover of the equipment is due to the request done by the sisters of the Good Samaritan Hospital.
