Luapel humbles Sosa at the Panatina oval to earn another bonus win at the HRUA league 2007. Hammer Heads looses another game to Solomon Airlines.

Luapel's ability to capitalize on their speed and mobility stretched Sosa's defense which gave gaps for the Luapel runners to counter effectively. By the second half Luapel was leading with 29 points and Sosa 15.

The Sosa heavy forwards were effective in the rucks and mauls situation and led most of the charges and hit-ups. Sosa wanted to play a more forwards' game but couldn't settle a fast paced game to their favor. Luapel touched down with two more tries from a team effort to settle at 43 including two successful conversions. The game ended 43 for Luapel and Sosa only managing 15 points.

Henderson Hammer Heads suffered another defeat to a well spirited Airlines side at the Panatina Oval on Saturday afternoon.

Airline's try came 15 minutes into the game with a team effort from the backline running through the HHH defence, conversion was successful. Hammers retaliated with their first five eight stampeding through an Airlines standoff. The conversion was unsuccessful, HHH was trailing the Airlines 5-7.

The Henderson boys' low recovery rate often through miss tackles helped the Airlines back liners to capitalize on offensive play. An individual try by the fullback lifted the Airlines' spirit with optimism. Airlines often encountered the Hammers' robust backline running the ball with their pace and at times taking 3 Airlines players to contain one full on charge.

Airlines chose to stick to defense and countering from loose balls or mistakes faltered by the HHH. Airlines dominated the second half and went on to win the game 17 - 10. HHH managed reply with a late try. Airlines have lost only one game in the league so far to league champions Avaiki.
