Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Clay Forau has re-echoed sentiments about RAMSI's transition being task bound and not time bound.

Mr Forau made the comments when discussing RAMSI's transition at a meeting with European Union's Chief Operation Officer, David O'Sullivan, during their bilateral meeting in Rarotonga, Cook Islands.

Mr Forau says the transition process must be linked to what needs to done to ensure that what has been achieved to date is sustainable.

During their discussions, the European Union's Chief Operation Officer Mr O'Sullivan stated that for investors to maintain their confidence in Solomon Islands, it is important that the transition process is smooth, adding that the European Union is willing to assist in this area.

Mr O'Sullivan said investors would like to see a predictable and smooth transition with many keen to see what the government is going to do to ensure this happens.
