Prime Minister Sikua Calls for a New Approach

Solomon Islanders need to take a new approach for a better future.

Prime Minister Dr. Derek Sikua made the call in addressing the nation at its 31st Independence anniversary occasion yesterday.

Dr. Sikua appealed to all Solomon Islanders to make personal commitments to respect, uphold and practice the virtues of joy, peace progress and prosperity.

He said this year's "Iumi together buildim country" theme is relevant [today] as it was last year.

Prime Minister Sikua said the theme calls on all Solomon Islanders - whether ordinary farmers and villagers, businessmen and women, leaders in various organisations and politicians - to work together for a better country.
