Police Officers Congratulated by Commissioner

This morning Acting Police Commissioner Peter Marshall officially congratulated three SIPF officers and their RAMSI Advisor for performing with excellence.

The officers from the Emergency Management and Special Events Planning (EMSEP) Unit have worked tirelessly with a range of operational units, Government agencies and the community on matters of significant interest to the safety and security of Solomon Islands.

EMSEP has planned and coordinated major operations and training exercises such as the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester visit, the response to the Tsunami, parliament operations, Independence Celebrations and Trade Show operations.

Acting Commissioner Marshall presented Sergeant George Paikai, Constable Jerry Akentara, Constable Miltus Fomani and RAMSI PPF Advisor Scott Cobern with certificates during the Police Parade this morning.

"These officers have undertaken difficult tasks within defined timeframes and have produced effective and efficient operational planning.

"On behalf of the Solomon Islands Police Force Executive and the entire Police Force, I would like to congratulate the officers for their success and excellent police work," he said.
