Police Investigate Tetere Death

The National Police Intelligence Unit and Police from Guadalcanal are currently investigating the death of a 40 year old man at Tetere, on Thursday afternoon.

Police investigation revealed that the incident allegedly occurred between 4pm to 5pm.

Police were called to the scene and managed to calm the situation down before carrying out investigations.

Guadalcanal Provincial Police Commander, Chief Superintendent George Guna is calling on the members of the deceased to refrain from retaliation and allow the police to investigate the matter.

He also urges witnesses to the incident to come forward and assist police with their investigations.

The result of the post-mortem on the deceased is yet to be established.

The body has been kept at the National Referral Hospital since Thursday.
