Police Investigate Taiwan Embassy Break-In

Solomon Islands Police Force (SIPF) Criminal Investigations Division (CID) detectives are investigating a burglary at the Taiwan Embassy Office at Panatina Plaza, East Honiara.

It is reported that the burglary occurred last Friday night and a number of items were stolen.

First Secretary to the Embassy, Ben Wang, confirmed to Solomon Times that items stolen were two flash drives and a laptop.

Mr. Wang, in what he describes as "just simple burglary", said the Embassy leaves the matter to police to sort.

Police Forensic Unit attended the Embassy Office to assist with the investigation.
