Honiara City Police have arrested one man and commenced an investigation into two separate incidents that occurred at Burns Creek yesterday afternoon.
Police arrested a 22 year old man from Malu'u in north Malaita after he allegedly assaulted a 28 year old woman with a vehicle radio antenna.The woman, who is also from Malu'u, sustained injuries to her back.
The man is in police custody and the investigation into the assault is continuing.
In a separate incident, a 16 year old male suffered a stab wound to the back following an altercation at Burns Creek at approximately 5pm yesterday.
The man from Fa'atolo Village in North Malaita is recovering from the wound at the National Referral Hospital.
Honiara City Police have spoken with the victim and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
