The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force will commemorate its fallen officers during the Police Blue Ribbon Memorial Service today morning.

The Police Blue Ribbon Service is an annual program held to commemorate fallen officers who die in the course of their duties.

Acting Police Commissioner Walter Kola says that such a memorial service remembers those that paid the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that Solomon Islands remains a peaceful nation.

A Police parade will commence at approximately 7: 00 am, which involves the RSIPF, Police Band and PPF at Rove Police Head Quarter to the memorial site.

Acting Commissioner of Police Walter Kola urge drivers and pedestrians to be cautious today as the Kukum Traffic officers will man the West end Tandai High Way road and from the East at Saint John's School main road.

The program will be attended by high dignitaries such as the Prime Minister and Governor General, honourable members of parliament, the diplomtic community as well as Police Ranks and files.
