Police are investigating a wounding incident at Tambea area, West Guadalcanal.

A police statement reports that the incident last Friday night occurred after disputes over royalty ownership.

Police were, however, not informed until Sunday morning, two days after the incident happened.

It was reported that the suspect struck two men from his own tribe with a knife, resulting in the victims sustaining knife wound to their bodies.

The statement reports that the victims were rushed in a private vehicle to the National Referral Hospital for medical treatment Saturday morning.

Guadalcanal Police attended to the report Sunday morning and a suspect was arrested in relation to the incident.

The suspect was taken to Central Watch House for further investigation.

Investigation is continuing.

In another incident, a joint Henderson and Guadalcanal police investigation is underway into an assault at Henderson area last Sunday afternoon.

A man was alleged to have beaten his wife and injured her during a domestic argument.

Police attended to the report and the man was taken down to Central Watch House.

The victim is reported to have sustained injuries to her head, and was taken to the National Referral Hospital by the hospital ambulance.

Police have charged the suspect with assault.

He will attend Honiara Magistrates Court on a date that is yet to be fixed.
