Police have arrested a man in his 30's in relation to a fatal stabbing incident that occurred at the Point Cruz early yesterday morning.
A 28 year old male sustained serious stab wounds during the attack and was taken to the Hospital but later died from his injuries.Detectives from Honiara City CID and National Criminal Investigation Department have launched an investigation into the incident, which resulted in the arrest of the prime suspect believed to be a security guard.
The suspect was taken to Honiara City Police Station where he was charged with unlawful wounding.
He is currently in custody and is expected to appear in the Honiara Magistrate's courts on a later date.
Police are calling on members of the public who may have any information or may have witnessed the incident to come forward and report to police.
