PM Congratulates Rennell Bellona Province on Second Appointed Day

Prime Minister Dr Derek Sikua and the National Government of Solomon Islands have congratulated Rennell Bellona Province and its people on the occasion marking the Province's Second Appointed Day.

Rennell Bellona will mark its Second Appointed Day tomorrow.

Dr Sikua wished the Premier, the Provincial Assembly, churches, chiefs, NGOs and the people of the province his warmest well wishes.

He says the Coalition for National Unity and Rural Advancement, C-NURA, Government acknowledges Rennell and Bellona Province for its "many contributions towards nation building through its natural and human resources in the last 32 years of the nation's political history."

Dr Sikua says the C-NURA Government thanks the Province's leaders and people for their support to build the country in challenging times.

He says as people of the Province reflect on this Day, "let them continuously focus on the need to recognize the achievements, and enhance the commitment to strengthening the positive image of the nation."

Prime Minister Sikua urges the people of the Province to embrace the future with pride, confidence and continued collaboration even during the toughest of times, and build on the legacy created by those who led the way before.
