Alcoholics Anonymous is an international aid movement founded in 1935 with a primary purpose to stay sober and help other alcoholics overcome problems with drinking.Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.Visiting members of the group and recovered alcoholics, Vanessa and Brian told media that Solomon Islanders might have drinking problems but have nowhere to turn to for help.Vanessa says alcohol is a disease that destroys lives including young people's. The Alcoholics Anonymous programme is free and involves 12 steps. The group recently visited the Rove Prison inmates to introduce the programme.
