As the year comes to an end, more and more students graduate from high school.

This is no different to Panatina Community High School, who this week farewelled 500 students from Grade 6, Form 3, Form 5 and Form 6, in front of proud parents, friends and families.

Guest speaker, Deputy City Mayor, Alfred Maetia told graduates that "it is through hard work that earns passage for advancement. Laziness undermines our qualities and hinders our learning."

He encouraged graduates to be wise and take heed of their result and hard work adding that it is "their obligation to concentrate and to get as many ideas and wisdom from their teachers."

"It is important for teachers and parents to make sure Panatina School maintains its competitiveness and integrity within other education institutions in Honiara and that through guidance and coaching, this will keep children within the momentum of learning to aim for higher achievements," says the Deputy City Mayor.
