Our Telekom has donated a cheque of SBD$6000 and five mobile phone handsets in support of the Pink Ribbon Day fundraiser to be held on Friday 17th October 2008.

The donation was presented by Our Telekom Assistant Manager Marketing, Ms Rachel Rahii to Mr. Fatiaki Low of the RAMSI Community Relations Unit at the Telekom main sales office in Point Cruz on Friday 12th September.

Pink Ribbon Day fundraiser was organised last year and again this year by the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI) to raise funds towards fighting women's health issues in the Solomon Islands.

Mr. Fatiaki said that breast cancer is one of the main disease affecting women in Solomon Islands today and RAMSI has come with this initiative to help women fight against this killer disease.

Fatiaki on behalf of RAMSI express thanks to Our Telekom for the generous assistance and the positive contribution rendered when there is a need to a worthwhile cause.

"Last year Our Telekom had donated towards the Pink Ribbon Day and this year, we are pleased to see the company come out and support again," Fatiaki said.
Ms Rachel Rahii of Our Telekom said the company is pleased once again to assist and render support towards a cause that is close to the heart of many women in Solomon Islands.

"With all our assistance put together, we can give hope to someone with breast cancer and their loved ones", Ms Rahii said.
