Our Telekom on Thursday 8th November donated $2,000 to Family Support Centre, (FSC) towards their Annual 16 Days of Activism Campaign against gender violence scheduled for 25th November to 10th December, 2007.

The Global Theme for 2007, 16 Days of Activism Campaign is "Demanding Implementation, Challenge Obstacles; End Violence Against Women." The campaign will work to increase the visibility of violence against woman as a human rights violation.

FSC executive stated that they will organize Media & Public Awareness talks in some parts of Honiara and will also be working in collaboration with other stakeholders to commemorate the World Aids Day & International Human Rights Day which will fall in the 16 days of activism campaign.

Our Telekom had willingly rendered its support; convinced that all forms of violence against women should cease and no longer be part of a modern society.

FCS staff, Lovelyn Kawaoga and Lute Onio conveyed their thanks to Our Telekom for the generous support.
