Officers Doing Very Good Job: Marshall

The Explosive Ordinance Division within the Royal Solomon Islands Police are doing "a very good job".

Acting Police Commissioner, Peter Marshall, made the commendation following the return of two officers who went to Nauru to dispose of explosives upon an invitation made by the Nauru government.

"The two officers have done a very good job in assisting the neighbouring Pacific country," Mr. Marshall said.

He told a press conference that police have received another report from the government of Nauru.

"Reports have reached Nauru police that three new explosives were found on a construction site cleared for a school building."

Mr. Marshall said that another EOD team will be sent, again upon request from Nauru government, to dispose safely the three new explosives.
