No Late Nights, Police Warn Club Owners

Nightclubs have been warned not to open until the break of dawn.

This follows an application from some nightclub owners to police seeking permission to open until 6am during the festive season.

Provincial Police Commander for Honiara City, Superintendent Nathan Ratu, in response said that it remains nightclubs are to open from 9pm to 2am, and no later than that.

Supt. Ratu warned that nightclubs who do not abide by the rules will be the main police target and they will be dealt with accordingly.

He said that the longer the hours of opening hours for nightclubs, the higher the tendency for more troubles occurring.
