No date has been set to table a motion of no confidence in the Premier of Temotu Province Johnson Levela.

SIBC's correspondent in Lata Andrew Nalua says that although a submission for the motion has reached the Provincial Speaker's office last week, the bad weather in the province is making it difficult for provincial members to reach the provincial capital for the full assembly meeting.

Mr. Nalua quotes provincial Speaker Gabriel Teao as saying that the only Agenda for the next full Assembly meeting is the no confidence motion.

He says despite members switching sides every now and then, Premier Levela is said to have mustered five other members in the 17-member assembly.

The political impasse in the Temotu Provincial government started towards the end of last year when Premier Levela sacked his deputy and the commerce minister and later sworn in two other members.

Reports say one of the two has again resigned to re-join the non-executive members who are now planning to oust the premier in a no confidence motion.
