Solomon Islands has a new Prime Minister.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Gizo-Kolombangara, Hon. Gordon Darcy Lilo, defeated his rival Opposition candidate, Milner Tozaka in a 29-20 vote.Hon. Gordon Lilo Darcy and Hon. Milner Tozaka were the top choice of both the Opposition and the Solomon Islands caretaker government, the National Coalition for Reform and Advancement.
The newly appointed Prime Minister was sacked recently as Minister for Finance under the leadership of Danny Philip.
