Solomon Islands students based at the University of the South Pacific's main campus, Laucala, have elected a new executive committee.

The newly elected Solomon Islands Student Association, SISA, executives are: President, Peter Fairamoa; Vice President, Trevor Manemahaga; Treasurer, Johnson Sokeni and Secretary, Pamela Naesol.

Following last Friday's election, the new executive acknowledged "good work" of the old executive, and vowed to carry out their responsibilities in the same manner.

Highlighted was the exceptional job done by the outgoing executive, in dedicating their time to pursue the issue of students' outstanding allowances with the government.

The new executive will be responsible for coordinating SISA activities and programs over the next remaining months until October next year.
