One of Greenpeace's campaigning vessels, MV Esparanza visited Honiara yesterday, with message 'Our Ocean, Our Forest, Our Future stacked to its side.

MV Esparanza, the largest of the three Greenpeace ships, has been out in the Pacific Oceans for almost 3 weeks campaigning and ensuring that fishing vessels are doing the right things.

With a crew of 32 and 18 nationalities, MV Esperanza is taking to the high seas to protect the Ocean from illegal or private fishing and making sure that the message of depleting stock level of some tuna species is taken seriously by island governments.

While at the wharf, the crews of the vessels were given a traditional welcome by warriors and traditional music. After the Minister had been given an official tour, members of the public were given an opportunity to visit the ship.
