Soccer internationals, Commins Menapi and Gideon Omokirio, will leave this Friday, to attend the English Football Association International Coaching license programme in the United Kingdom.

The two have been recommended by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) for the Football Association (FA) programme, following their successful completion of the Oceania Football Confederation Senior License Course, recently at the SIFF Academy Alan Boso facility.

Menapi described the call as a challenge that he would take up with an open mind.

"It is my goal to take up coaching after I retire from playing football," he said.

Menapi and Omokirio would join other coaches from other countries that come under the auspices of the English FA in England for the course.

Last year, two coaches, Derick Taka and Moses Toata, also attended a similar programme.

Menapi and Omokirio are expected to receive their International Licence award at the end of the course which is equivalent to the UEFA B Award.

Subject to recommendation, upon completion of the International Licence Course, it could enable participants to gain access into FA's Preparatory Course for the UEFA 'A' Licence.
