MASI should stay out of Politics: Tozaka

The MP for North Vella La Vella, Milner Tozaka stated that the Media Association of Solomon Islands should not get involved in Politics.

The Opposition MP was responding to the submission by MASI to the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands review team that visited Honiara in April.

MASI is the only group that gave a specific time frame to the RAMSI review team. All other groups including government only highlighted an exit strategy for the mission without indicating any dates. MASI's submission had a ten year deadline for the departure of the mission.

Mr Tozaka said that the fact that MASI was the only group that set a deadline for the departure of RAMSI from Solomon Islands may give the impression that it has a hidden agenda.

The MP commends MASI for hosting the Pacific Islands News Association Convention in Honiara this week.
